Occupying part of the historic home of Andrey Stakenschnieder, chief court architect of Alexander I, this appealing 40-room hotel retains some of the building's original decorative features, but with largely modern furnishings in the tall-ceilinged rooms.
It's a bit of a hike to the metro but not far from the Hermitage. Also in the building are an antique-style teahouse and restaurant.
