Lagos

In summer, the stunning terrace overlooking the beach is the place to be, but the wood-panelled interior with a beautiful timber bar is also wonderfully atmospheric. Both Portuguese and international dishes feature on the menu, including sizzling steaks, poultry (eg chicken Kiev) and flambéed crepes. Its wine collection has bottles as old as 1856. Kids' dishes cost €11 to €15.
