Taberna do Gabão

Traditional dishes from the neighbouring Alentejo region – such as pezinhos de porco (roast pig trotters) and ensopado de borrego (lamb stew) – are served in a charming, old-fashioned wooden dining room and small courtyard with frescoed walls depicting local history and landscapes. It's hidden in a narrow backstreet in the town centre.
