Ervideira

Monsaraz

Set in the former primary school, this welcoming shop sells wines by Ervideria, a 160-hectare vineyard that's been run by the same family since the 1880s. You can sample some unusual wines (try the Invisível, so named for its transparent colour), or even linger on the terrace upstairs over a glass (€3 to €5) or a bottle (from €9).

If you want the full experience, you can arrange visits to the vineyard, which is about 25km west of Monsaraz.
