Taking full advantage of the bounty of fresh and fabulous fish from the Azores (much of which is often exported to Japan), local sushi-man João Soeiro learned from the best – three-star Michelin fish master Masahiro Yoshitake – and brought his skills home to this no-frills, pleasantly affordable Estrela Asian seafooder.
Obviously, the island's outstanding tuna is a highlight, but there's a long list of sea beauty happening here (giant squid, blue mackerel, amberjack, triggerfish, red seabream, turbot etc). This ain't Tokyo, but you'll leave satisfeito.
