Desa Unicum

Warsaw

In the northwest corner of Park Ujazdowski, surrounded by government offices and embassies, this long-established gallery and auction house opened its new home in 2018. The glass box building strikes a contemporary note sitting in an excavated plot. There's already a bookshop and plans to add a cafe and a restaurant.

A short walk away, its branch facing Plac Konstytucji sells reprints of works by famous Polish artists and illustrators, such as Rafał Olbiński and Edward Dwurnik. Some of the images are transferred to mugs, ties and scarves making for unusual gifts.
