Awarded the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture in 2015, Szczecin's Philharmonic Hall looks like a misplaced factory, the lack of windows giving the building an unwelcoming look. However, architecture fans might be interested to take an English-language tour of the building (three to five times a month; see the website for details).
The hall is home to the Szczecin philharmonic orchestra but hosts many other ensembles, from traditional Portuguese musicians to jazz orchestras.
