DuckFat

Portland

DuckFat is famous for its fries cooked in (yes) duck fat. On the right night, they're shatteringly crisp, with fluffy centers. Dipping sauces (truffle ketchup, horseradish mayo etc) are good but unnecessary. The fancy panini are also excellent, and people flock for the poutine. Decor is 'hipster fast-food joint,' with a blackboard menu and a handful of bistro tables.

Wash everything down with a milkshake made from gelato, because if you're gonna indulge, you may as well go all the way, right?
