Simply furnished and cosy wood bungalows with concrete hot-water bathrooms line a forested ridge. The owner, a botanist and the former chief warden of Nat Ma Taung National Park, can fill you in on conservation issues, if he's around. The food is outstanding and the manager, Aung Ling Thang, is an excellent resource for guiding and trekking trips.
If the bungalows are booked, there's an incongruously suburban-looking building, attached to the owner's home and fronted by a beautiful and well-tended garden, with simple hotel-style rooms.
Has a sister resort in Mindat.
