A huge covered food court with lots of choice – burgers, fried rice, a couple of Indian eateries (one vegetarian), and local meat noodle dishes – in Taipei Expo Park. Midway there's a carousel and Crafted, a craft-beer bar, while at the back are several western-style gastropubs and a stage for live music. There's also a health-food supermarket that has cheaper, chilled craft beer.

Great place to take the family. Watch the planes heading in to Songshan Airport – every few minutes one will roar past overhead.

Maji Square is on the right as you enter Taipei Expo Park from Yuanshan MRT.
