Bang in the city centre, this is the shop of a foundation devoted to the preservation of historical art-house films. The shop sells original vintage Italian movie posters and newly restored DVDs of classic films. Its cinema, located at Via Azzo Gardino 65, screens classic Italian and original language films in its high-tech Cinema Lumière daily (Wednesday screenings are €5).
It's serious business – director Oliver Stone visited in 2017 and is considering using the foundation's facilities for film restoration. Look out for its latest project, the renovation and 2020 reopening of the historic 1915 underground Cinema Modernissimo near Piazza Maggiore.
