Set up by renowned Otways brewery Prickly Moses, this taphouse pours an impressive range of its own and guest ales. The front bar is a classic pub and bistro, but through the back is the 'Taste of the Region' room, with a dozen of its own beers on tap to enjoy with local-produce tasting platters.
Grab a tasting paddle ($10) to sample five of its brews, which range from pale and golden ales to Pilsner, lagers and seasonals such as chardonnay IPA. You can also choose from a heap of other Aussie craft beers and an extensive regional wine selection. It has good-value pub rooms (from $75) too.
If that's not enough, its new Apollo Bay Distillery opened across the road in early 2020, with a focus on producing gin and single-malt whisky, along with a pizzeria and local micro-roaster specialising in single-origin coffee.
