What used to be called the Hold utca Market has been given a total facelift. It remains a true-blue purveyor of meat and produce, but we come here for the dozen or so eateries on the upper gallery, which serve everything from főzelék, the traditional Hungarian way of preparing vegetables sometimes served with meat, and Vietnamese pho (noodle soup) to Russian pelmeni (dumplings).
There's also a budget branch of Stand here, serving modern Hungarian fare with set lunch menus for 4500/5400Ft for two/three course.
