Beaumont

Top choice in The West End

A stylish and handsome smaller-scale luxury hotel, the 73-room Beaumont is all art-deco opulence. Fronted by an arresting stainless-steel-and-oak cuboid sculpture by British artist Antony Gormley called Room (which encompasses part of a £1260-per-night suite on the 3rd floor), the striking white building dates from 1926. Rooms – 104 has fab views – and suites are swish and elegant.

Don't miss the American-style Magritte Bar off the main lobby with paintings and original posters from the 1920s and 1930s. Room prices include local drop-offs.
