Pirate Camp

Southern Madagascar

These rustic bungalows at Evatra are run by Lavasoa in Fort Dauphin. It also has a campsite and hires equipment. The accommodation is made from local materials and there's solar electricity. The transfer here from Fort Dauphin (Taolagnaro) costs €70 one way. If arriving under your own steam, call ahead.

The open-air restaurant (mains from Ar12,000) serves up grilled seafood and steaks for dinner, and home-made bread and pancakes for breakfast.
