Char Bar

Shanghai Old City

This stretch of the Bund is ideal for a rooftop bar and Char ticks all the boxes. The outdoor terrace has some of the finest views over the Huangpu River across to the thrilling neon lights of Pudong. Inside, intimate tables are filled with noisy drinkers dressed to the nines.

Drinks are as pricey as you'd expect (cocktails start at ¥95), but for a taste of textbook Bund glamour, it's worth the splurge.
