Le Théâtre Capitole

Québec City

Québec City's first theater when it opened as the Auditorium de Québec in 1903, this historic and now renovated theater-restaurant offers cabaret and musical revues and is a smaller and more intimate spot to enjoy performing arts. Hitchcock held the premiere of his film I Confess here.

The film was largely shot on location in Québec City, with numerous takes of the city's churches and such iconic buildings as the Château Frontenac.
