With its pastel-toned konaks clustered around a flowering, fountain-filled courtyard, Abacı Konak is like your own personal Ottoman quarter. In the rooms, the original dark wood ceilings and creaky floors have been preserved and enhanced by subtle vintage furnishings. Bathrooms are on the small side though and could do with an update.
Book ahead: the hotel is popular with Turkish groups, especially on weekends. The closest tram stop is Atatürk Lisesi.
