The Manici is in prime position, just steps away from both Gölbaşı and the bazaar area. The 'ye-olde Ottoman splendour' decor of mammoth orientalist paintings and hanging lamps stays on the right side of kitsch and is topped off with contemporary, colourful soft-furnishing touches. Rooms are spacious with modern bathrooms and staff speak some English.
The licenced ground-floor restaurant, with bar, serves up traditional Turkish mains and good meze under the watchful eyes of portraits of Ottoman sultans.
