São Paulo

Brazilian celebrity chef Alex Atala's small and deceptively casual contemporary Brazilian restaurant serves up some of the finest food in Sampa, which is saying a lot. Atala is nearly personally responsible for putting Brazilian haute cuisine on the international radar: it placed 30th on the 2018 World's 50 Best Restaurants list, which foodies fawn over relentlessly.

Obviously, it will put a serious dent in your wallet, but the R$98 set Brazilian lunch is a great option for more frugal foodies. Reservations mandatory.
