Awi’s Yellow House

Kuala Terengganu

Awi’s is what Terengganu once was: a gathering of rustic, wooden stilt-houses built over the tidal Sungai Terengganu. The smell of fish paste, salt and chilli, the sound of lapping waters, and nights that stick to you like a wet kiss; Awi's will immerse you in the old Terengganu kampung way of life.

Awi's attracts artists and travellers from all over. From the ferry dock or Pulau Duyung bus stop, it’s a short but circuitous walk to Awi’s; ask a local for directions.
