Mövenpick Resort El Quseir

Top choice in Red Sea Coast

Al Quseir's best hotel stretches around a coral bay 7km north of the centre, with the best rooms just above the shore. It offers good European and Egyptian food and the usual five-star facilities, including a nice spa. Among the most laid-back resorts along the coast, it also offers quiet evenings and a refreshing absence of glitz.

Although the resort has expanded, the management has retained its environmentally conscious approach, as evidenced by the fine state of the local coral reef, which has excellent coral and fish to view either by snorkelling or diving. The hotel has extensive grounds and a large pool overlooking the sea. But perhaps the biggest reason to stay here is the bay itself, which has a sand beach and direct access to the sea (good for kids). There is also a house dive centre.
