Something of a local institution, Golden Cowie serves authentic Filipino flavours at pretty modest prices. It has mouthwatering fish and seafood – try the fried tuna belly or imbao (clam soup); and great meat dishes such as crispy pata (deep-fried pork hock or knuckles) and pork bicol (pork cooked in coconut and shrimp paste). Vegie highlights include adobong talong (eggplant).
There are five branches spread around the city.
