Coco Grove Beach Resort

Top choice in Siquijor

A well-oiled machine (if you can call a perfectly coiffed Spanish-style beachfront resort a machine), Coco Grove has doubled in size from its original incarnation without losing any of its charm or personality. Two wings of the property are separated by a mini 'fishing village' with accommodation in a variety of buildings, from bungalows to a boutique-hotel-style stucco building.

It has two large swimming pools, several bars and restaurants, all with waterfront views. A disproportionate percentage of staff seem to be talented singers and musicians and serenade diners at night. Besides lounging on the beach or at the pool there are activities galore on offer, not to mention a highly regarded dive centre and access to the wonderful Tubod marine sanctuary straight out front. A high-end spa is scheduled to open here in 2018.

The resort's private yacht transports guests in comfort from Dumaguete where they have a sister hotel, the Coco Grande Hotel. It also has a recommended resort on nearby Apo Island.
