This oasis of peace, 3km east of Siquijor Town, is run by a cheerful Japanese couple. Some rooms have furo baths, wooden ceiling fans and Japanese supertoilets – no two rooms are alike. Many cottages have two levels, some with sprawling sea-facing balconies. It’s on a nice white-sand beach, and has an on-site dive centre and excellent restaurant (mains P200 to P300).

Other pluses: wheelchair accessibility, free use of kayaks, free snorkelling gear and a tennis court with open late-afternoon sessions run by owner Daman.
