Upscale but not ridiculously pricey, Zig Zag is a Peruvian restaurant with European inflections. It inhabits a two-story colonial house with an iron stairway designed by Gustave Eiffel (wow, that man must have been busy). The menu classic is a meat selection served on a unique volcano-stone grill with various sauces. The fondues are also good.
Some heretics claim it’s even better than famous Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio’s Chicha. The various set lunch menús (from S55) are an accessible way to taste-test and include a seafood-only or vegetarian option.
