An unmissable local favorite, this long-running picantería has old-world formal service but a casual atmosphere that turns boisterous even during the week when family groups descend to eat generous servings of local specialties and drink copious amounts of chicha de jora (fermented corn beer) in the courtyard. Solo diners will get full on the excellent ricoto relleno (meat-stuffed peppers) alone.
The restaurant is in the Yanahuara district (2km northwest of the city center), east of the mirador (lookout).
