Bait Bimah

Hajar Mountains

Beside Snake Gorge and handy for an early-morning assault on the canyon hike, this guesthouse is in a pretty location surrounded by fruiting figs, guava and pomegranates. Accommodation is simple in dorms that sleep six, or there are two private rooms with en suite bathroom. The outdoor restaurant is a lovely spot for plotting the next day's adventures.

Given a week's notice, the guesthouse is able to arrange hiking in Snake Gorge (OR50) and caving in the upper reaches of Al Hoota Cave (in the wild section beyond the part accessed by train). For a 4WD transfer from Muscat, it costs OR100 return.
