Cochs Pensjonat

Oslo

Opened as a guesthouse for bachelors in the 1920s, this lovely old yellow-brick guesthouse represents excellent value. Expect bright, simply furnished rooms with big windows. Some rooms have kitchenettes, and the ones overlooking the Slottsparken are especially spacious; budget options share corridor bathrooms. It's ideally located behind the Royal Palace, though it's on a busy intersection, so expect some noise.
