Run by a pair of seasoned globetrotters, this lovely establishment has a youthful, hostel-like vibe and has two 'homes', both stuffed with books, retro furniture, old maps and curios, and thoughtfully designed for budget travellers. Noise does carry in the vintage buildings, but that's part of the budget trade-off. There's no breakfast, but both houses have shared kitchens.
The office is in the 'Writer's Home' at Strandvegen 45; the 'Fisherman's Home' is a few blocks further along Strandvegen. It's only staffed until 4pm on weekdays and 1pm on weekends, so call ahead.
