Patina

Top choice in Bergen & the Southwestern Fjords

A labour of love dreamt up by three local women, Patina is part guesthouse, part cafe and part vintage shop. There's one large, family-sized apartment overlooking the lake available for daily/weekly stays (and sometimes a smaller one); its winning decor shows off the trio's excellent eye for evocative, whimsical design pieces. Most of the objects and furniture are also for sale.

The charming cafe serves up beautiful homemade cakes and over-stuffed sandwiches and the shop is full of amazing finds, most of it sourced directly from friends and neighbours. Guests can borrow a (vintage, naturally) row boat for exploring Lake Evangervatnet.
