Bergen

Norway's first hotel minichain began in Bergen and is still doing brisk business. It's a long way from budget-digs territory – limited staff keeps costs down (guests check in and out on kiosks at the door and there's no on-site breakfast), but it focuses on getting the basics right, with comfortable beds, fluffy duvets, and clean, crisp decor. A bargain for Bergen.
