On the south side of Mérida, right on the lakefront, this is a very nice budget option (with some very nice midrange rooms thrown in), offering every activity you could possibly want – volcano hikes, kayaking, excellent mountain bikes, sailing, swimming etc. The superstar rooms here are upstairs, with awesome lake views and a shared balcony featuring king-sized hammocks.
