Los Cardones Hotel Ecológico

Nicaragua

Just south of San Diego village, this rustic ecolodge has great food and some of the best surfing in Nicaragua, just steps from your hammock. Owners offer fishing, snorkeling and horseback riding, and sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach. The whole operation is low-impact (solar energy, composting toilets) and also family friendly, with surf breaks for kids under 12 years.

The hotel arranges transportation from the airport: US$70 one-way for one or two people.
