Pounawea Motor Camp

Fiordland & Southland

If you're seeking tranquil surrounds and bird-watching galore, this no-frills motor camp on the estuary will hit the spot. Tenters, campervanners and those renting the simple cabins all share bathrooms and a kitchen. Amenities are a little threadbare, though there are nice extras such as kayak rental, a barbecue area and a small shop stocking essentials.
