The Farm

Bay of Islands & Northland

The Farm is a rough-and-ready backpackers rambling through various buildings, including an old woolshed. The rooms are basic and it's a popular park-up spot for campervans, but off season it's a chilled-out rustic escape. Best of all, you can arrange a horse trek ($50, two hours), dirt biking (from $50), kayaking and fishing.
