Lake Hawea Holiday Park

Queenstown & Wanaka

On the lakeshore, this spacious and peaceful old-fashioned holiday park is a favourite of fishing and boating enthusiasts. Units range from a block of basic cabins with vividly coloured doors to motel units and cottages. There's bike hire (half/full day $30/40), fishing-rod hire and even a fish smoker if you do land something.

There are big plans for the park. Glamping tents were going in at the time of writing, and geodesic domes are also in the offing.
