It would be hard to imagine a more idyllic après-trek recovery spot than this charming lodge in three artfully converted old village houses. The 13 comfortable rooms are surrounded by a serene and peaceful garden, with views over Nuwakot and the Trisuli Valley. The open kitchen serves up superb Nepali food (cookery lessons are possible).
It’s one of Nepal’s most serene getaways and it’s worth staying at least two nights to soak up the calm and take in local walks. The owners support a local school and home for deaf children and can arrange visits for those wishing to donate school supplies.
