This colonial-style villa in buttercup yellow was once the family home of the owners of Kathmandu Guest House, who manage the place. Rooms are modern and fresh and the spacious Rana-era suites are named after such illustrious house guests as George Schaller and Jane Goodall. There's a small but pleasant garden and a hidden upper terrace; the service is excellent.
The only downside is the location, which lacks the central convenience of the Kathmandu Guest House. A side building houses the room where Jimmy Carter had his office when observing recent elections. Rates include breakfast and tax.
