Hotel Potala

Bang in the beating heart of Thamel, this small backpacker place has a nice rooftop area and a convenient vegetable momo restaurant overlooking Thamel’s main drag. Rooms are certainly simple but clean and decent, with sunny corner deluxe rooms. It’s down an alleyway near the Maya Cocktail Bar and suffers from weekend music noise. Don’t confuse it with Potala Guest House. Rates include tax.
