If you are looking to hook up with other young backpackers, this well-run and oddly named place (taken from a Tom Robbins novel) is one the most popular hostels in the city. The travel desk offers treks, free weekly language classes and city walks, and there's fair-priced laundry and airport transfers. The sociable rooftop restaurant is the place to meet a trekking buddy.
Dorm rooms have between four and 12 beds, all of which come with a locker, and there are two women-only dorms. For a private room you can get better value elsewhere.
