Take a seat at this simple stall and you won't even need to order: c'est la soupe. La soupe in question is harira, a brothy, tomatoey affair with oregano, bits of noodles, chickpeas and lentils. It's served alongside a plate of dates, syrupy fried dough confections and a hard boiled egg. Slurp away: you'll be surrounded by locals doing the same thing.
If it's too busy or you're with a large group, there are a few restaurants on either side of Majistic serving the same thing.
