The incumbent Mongolian president is obliged to visit this ceremonial ovoo (shamanistic collection of stones, wood or other offerings to the gods) every five years; Battulga will fly in by helicopter in 2018. The views are spectacular, but there is a litter problem. It's connected by road to the north ranger station. The Khuiten Uul base camp is 4km downhill.
