Veranda

Ulaanbaatar

While it's not particularly old, this fine-dining restaurant has an almost colonial air to it, with couch seating inside and a big porch overlooking the Choijin Lama Temple Museum. The food is surprisingly good, with a menu featuring an array of delectable main dishes that fuse Italian and French recipes served by bow-tie uniformed waiters. Reserve ahead if you want a patio table.
