The best tourist camp in the area. The shower rooms and toilets are sparkling, the 37 gers are larger than most (some have queen beds), and though the new-build main lodge heats up during the day, it's comfortable at breakfast. Most importantly, the staff are terrific. It's set 2km from the dunes (10km from the tallest section).
Nonguests can use the showers (T10,000) and the restaurant and bar (meals US$10 to US$15). Camel treks can be organised from here. Some staff speak English.
