Mongolia’s first luxury hotel and spa is an incongruous neoclassical building set on the edge of tiny Terelj village. Opened in 2008, this five-star hotel is a class act with corridors lined with thick carpet and antiques, a palatial indoor swimming pool, several restaurants, a professional spa, a library and a children’s play centre. Rooms are immaculate, but not exceptional.
Rates include use of pool, mountain bikes, sauna and gym. The spa costs extra.
