This was indeed a grand hotel when built in 1901. Most rooms in this old-timer are pretty tired; some have slightly more modern features, while several still have the same old-period furnishings and faded carpets. Despite the wear, the lobby retains many elegant and delightful decorative flourishes. And the central location is a plus.
