Casa San Angel

Bright jungle murals and a massive vine cover the walls of the colonial patio of this welcoming spot, the home of a well-known Mexican mathematician. The 13 rooms are unpretentious and the location, at the northern end of centro historico and at the base of Paseo Montejo, is unbeatable. The pool is tiny but hey, it's refreshing. A restaurant is attached.
