Hotel Francés

Guadalajara

Hotel Francés is one of the best midrange hotels in Guadalajara for a time-warp stay (it was founded in 1610). The 64 rooms are not as much fun as the marble courtyard bar (open noon to midnight), where waiters in bow ties treat you like a homecoming amigo, troubadours strum weepy ballads, happy hour lasts till 8pm and the bartender mixes a mean margarita.
