Mercado de Sabores Poblanos

Puebla

The 6570-sq-meter Mercado de Sabores Poblanos is a budget-friendly complement to Puebla’s food scene with everything from snacks to full meals. A sparkling food court with space for families serves local specialties such as cemitas (a style of sandwich/burger unique to Puebla), pipián verde (chicken with green pumpkin-seed sauce) and tacos árabes (pita-bread pork taco) from 130-odd vendors.

It's quite a hike from the zócalo and best combined with other nearby sights or on your way back from Cholula.
